  1. No it is normal (healthy)
  2. 1500, i just lose 40 pounds i went from 205 to 165 in 9 months so that's what i would say
  3. actually 10 is about the average. I'd say eat around 1500 calories and get about an hour of exercise. Good luck ,its hard losing weight, trust me i've been trying to shed some weight myself.
  4. You need to take in fewer calories, which I'm sure you know, and you can start by googling the food pyramid for basic guidelines on healthy eating. Start very slowly with the exercise and gradually increase it. When was the last time you had your blood pressure and other stuff checked by a healthcare professional? Good luck!
  5. i dont count calories, you need energy if you are excersising, take a look at the fat content of your food, try to completely cut it out, eat lots of vegetables and white meat and drink loads of water :)
  6. you should excrise without keeping track so you can exceed the expected results
  7. eat lots of salads, drink tons of water, excersize and love yourself!
  8. try to limit yourself to 2500 calories a day, and if you do a half hour high energy routine like turbo jam or tai Bo every day - lots of fibre and vegetables - no junk food and no alcohol during the week.- you will be on the road.
  9. If you are 95 pounds overweight, you may be able to lose double that. Know that you should determine the amount of calories you need to maintain your weight (google it). Multiply that by 7 (for 7 days in a week). Know that one pound of fat equals 3500 calories. Decrease your weekly in take by 3500 for one pound per week. Again, if you are strict and dedicated, you will lose more than you think at first because of how much you have to lose.
  10. You have to burn about 9000 Kal for each pound of fat. So 10 pounds in a month is a little too much. You'll starve and then you might put then back on. Take it slower.
  11. keep eating less and less throughout the day and excercise a lot like run on the treadmill. try eating less at once and have little snacks here and there
  12. i wouldnt count calories i would cut out trans fats and carbs and eat 5 smaller meals a day and maintain a daily regimen of at least 30 minutes aerobic excercise but to really get results i would aim for 60 minutes. dont try to start out too much do what you can and work your way up. eating low fat foods and staying away from starchy high carb foods will do wonders from the get go and dont drink pop
  13. First off, you should talk to a doctor about dieting before you start. If you cut down on eating, you will loose some weight, but your weight will bounce back up, possibly to an even higher weight. Cut out unhealthy food and eat healthy food. Exercise a lot. Talk to a trainer about setting up a schedule.
  14. 900-1000, u need to run a lot to burn that kinda weight
  15. 10 lbs a month is reasonable. Go for like 2-3 lbs a week. Drink tons of water. Limit fats and especially carbs. Stick with low glycemic index carbs and protein. Knock out caffeine sugar and smoking...and watch your sodium intake (that's what made the biggest difference for me...no pre-packaged foods, they are loaded with sodium!) And EXERCISE! I used to follow the 6 week body makeover and lost 109 lbs in 11 months on that. It takes work to maintain it, but it's awesome! Very hard to stick rigidly too, but once those lbs start to melt away, you'll never look back!
  16. How much do you weigh now? How tall? How active have you been in the past? What is your current medical condition other than weight? Lot's of factors. But to take weight off and keep it off, a slow steady drain is best. 2-4 pounds per month with a change in behaviors would be best. Go on a diet, lose weight, don't change the behaviors that made you fat and you won't keep anything off for long. You more than likely would lose and then gain back that and then some. I am 6" 275. Have been for 15 years, would love to lose it. But all my experience has been lose 5 then gain 10. I would rather stay steady at one weight. Am open to suggestions though on a plan that would take off a few here with greatest chance of maintaining.
  17. Well, most doctors and dieticians say you should aim to lose about 1 pound a week - doing more can lead to problems, such as yo-yo'ing weight because your body thinks its starving. Anyways, the key is to start slow, and not just kick into super-diet mode. Try reducing your daily calorie intake a little each week, while increasing your physical activity at the same time. Remember, just cutting calories isn't as important as eating better overall. Even if it were just as simple as saying you should only eat 1800 calories, there's going to be an obvious difference between eating 1800 calories of ice cream vs. 1800 calories of a balanced, low fat, high fiber diet.
  18. I have tried before and failed. But you may check the blog "Dieting, Acting, Going Crazy, and Sexually Fustrated. " at largeplace.com. Hope it helpful.
  19. You should be able to do this. If it is fat you are talking about, the caloric equivalent is 3600 K calories for each pound. so: 3600 x 10 divided by 30. This ends up at 1200 K calories per day. That means that you must upset your present balance between intake and output by1200 Calories.
