What is a good diet pill to take when you have to lose 50 or more pounds?
I need to lose at least 50 pounds. What diet pills out there are good? For those of you who say get off your fat a** and ecercise I walk 3 miles every day and eat only about 1000 cals or less...I am at a stand still and need to lose more. Just to clarify to anyone who thinks I am looking for a magic cure...I am not...just something to help lose the excess.

- for short term use phentermine but see your doctor first and make sure you don't have cardiac problems, and take it as prescribed; another Didrex, is good but many people get hooked on Didrex I don'y recommend it
- none of them. get off your fat a s s and exercise. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but I am really sick of these questions. Ooh, look, I suddenly woke up fat and now I need a magic pill to make it all disappear! I am fat, too. I am going to the gym and working out. That's how you do it, it's not glamourous, easy or fun...but it works.
- plz dont take pills.coz u vll b killin ur self .instead do yoga or go for wlaks with ur frendz.
- do not buy ant die t pills over the counter as none really work there is 1 available from your g.p. but you have to prove that your wanting to loose weight and have to loose 2lb before your g.p. will give it you can't remember the name but it stops your body from accepting too much fat if you continue to eat fatty foods you end up with really bad diarrhoea my mum had a really bad experience she gave up the pills joined slimming world and is eating loads and loosing weight worth a try also not like any other slimming club as if you are a shift worker then you don't have to pay for classes you miss due to work
- I know how tempting it is because I needed to lose a lot more weight than you are trying to, but there is no reason to spend any money on pills that most likely don't work and may be harmful to you in the long run. The best way to lose weight is by eating a healthy diet and getting at least moderate exercise most days of the week. I lost 115 pounds without ever spending any money on fancy diets or pills or personal trainers, and without ever feeling hungry, just by cutting out junk food and switching to a high fiber/low fat diet and exercising. I started slowly by just making sure I was getting enough fruits and veggies every day, and they gradually made other changes like switching to whole grains, lean meats, low fat and fat free dairy, cutting out as much sugar as possible, etc. For exercise I started with just walking and gradually started adding time and intensity to my workouts by doing a variety of exercises. It's hard to get started, but once you get going you learn to really love healthy foods and exercise! Now I am actually SMALLER than I intended to be when I started (my original goal was to lose 99 lbs.), I love all kinds of exercise, and my favorite foods in the world are fresh fruits and veggies, instead of my past sedentary life filled with all kinds of junk foods that just made me feel rotten.
- I'm tired of people condescendingly saying all you have to do is eat less and exercise. Yes, that may work for YOU, but does NOT work for everyone. I tried everything (yes, including regular exercise!) and finally had to stop taking a prescription that I knew was preventing weight loss (I always research meds before taking them). I knew my thyroid was low but it was not low enough to treat medically so I got no help there. Finally my GP gave me phentermine and I have lost 42-43 pounds in a year. It is not a magic pill. You still have to eat less and exercise, but it makes those two things effective. In the long run you do have to develop healthier habits. And stay away from soy. It suppresses your thyroid, which controls your metabolism.
