How many miles a day do you honestly think it will take me to lose 40 pounds in three months?

How many mmiles do you think? I am going to lower my calorie intake by 700 calories so that my metabolism will not slow down. how many miles do you think i will need to run to lose 40 pounds? O yea, i am 200 lbs and 5'7

  2. You should run for about an hour to two hours every day. You could also do aerobic training to help.
  3. I'm not sure, but all I want to say is GOOD LUCK!!! It takes a very determined person to stick to a diet plan, and if you really set your mind to it, I bet you'll lose a lot!!! Gl!

  5. I think if you walked a good hour or two a day you could do it easily. Do drink plenty of water, avoid a lot of salt and fat, and stay away from pop and juices and eat natural products. Do get a good breakfast into you, preferrably a good protein shake and fruits in the morning, have a muffin mid morning and a light salad at lunch and a good supper. It's very doable so good luck to you!

  7. The number of miles covered in a 30 minute a day walk. O yea, cut back on food intake. However, not to the point decrease eating effects your health.
  8. You don't lose much in the way of calories through exercise. Over 80% of the calories you eat are burned just keeping your body heated and alive. The other 20% is used in moving around and other stuff. It really isn't possible to raise that 20% much through exercise. A modest amount of exercise, increases the levels of glucagon in your body (the hormone that tells you body to not save many calories as fat storage) and raises your body temperature and metabolism somewhat. In other words, exercise works, not so much on the 20% but on the 80% and there are extreme diminishing returns beyond a modest amount of exercise. That being said, the major component of weight loss is the diet. Buy a book on the G. I. Diet from Amazon.com or your local bookstore. It is the only diet that works. Also, 40 pounds in 3 months is an unrealistic amount that you are going to fail at. Real weight loss happens at about 1 to 2 pounds a week, if you are doing the correct things. You are looking at 10 to 25 pounds of loss over that three month period. Your goal of 40 pounds is the task of a year or so.
