  1. yes, you will need to go on a high protein diet as well.
  2. It depends on how big you are, if you are 20 stone then yes, if your 11 stone then maybe no and if your 9 stone. NO, the bigger you are the faster you loose weight, i need to loose 2 stone (28lb) and i have till june. Im hoping i will make it in time. Good luck
  3. I don't think so. Not if you want to keep it off. It took me almost 1 year to lose 30 pounds. Walking on treadmill everyday for 30 minutes and eating sensibly. The weight will go....I promise but I think it takes time...
  4. yes.
  5. It is, but it definitely isn't healthy. The recommended weight loss is 2 pounds a week (average)
  6. Yes it is possible but it depends on the person
  7. I once lost 50 lbs. in 3 months, but that is not the norm. I made some drastic lifestyle changes as well as going through a very stressful period in my life.
  8. I may be possible but it would not be healthy. You need to lose weight slower so you don't hurt your health.
  9. You can, but it is foolish, as you shock the body in doing so. It is better (and more realistic) to lose about 10 pounds a month and take 4 months to do this properly
  10. Losing weight quickly is not healthy at all. I've lost 20 pounds in 7 months. When you lose slowly the chances are more likely that the weight will not come back, which is the overall goal. Eat right, exercises and just be patient, you'll be doing yourself a big favor. Feel good about the little steps you can take toward your goal. I am hoping I lose another 15-20 pounds by July. Only time will tell. Another plus to losing slowly is that you don't end up with a lot of sagging skin, which wouldn't look good anyhow even if you were skinny. You could lose 15 pounds in 2 months if you are very diligent. Don't try to lose more than 2 pounds a week. Don't be discouraged if in one week you don't lose, you may be gaining muscle which weighs more than fat. Take your measurements and watch them too. Get out a pair of jeans that are snug now, try them on every week or two. Very exciting to see your body change. No magic involved. Best of luck to you. Be healthy and happy!!!!
  11. Not in a healkthy way. 8-10 lbs. a month is more appropriate
  12. it's possible but not sure how healthy it is to lose it that fast though.
  13. Hi sexy kid, Yes it is possible, but why the rush? 2lbs/week is a healthy rate. Anything above is too radical. What is your reason for wanting to lose so much weight in such a short space of time? Is it for health reasons or merely for looks? How exactly do you intend to lose this weight? Are you going to go on a crash diet. Diets don't work for the long-term. The following information is given with the understanding that you have no serious health issues. The best way to lose weight healthily and keep it off is to change your lifestyle. This means changing your eating habits, what you eat, how you eat, exercise more frequently etc. Concerning food: Cut out all refined foods, eat whole foods such as whole wheat bread, Brown rice etc. Stop drinking fluids with your meals, Chew your food properly before swallowing, eliminate all snacks (The optimum amount of meals per day is 2, but 3 will do for a start), don't eat anything within 5 hrs of your bedtime, try to eliminate all meat from your diet, aim for a plant-based diet, when eating the proper foods you will be able to eat a lot more and still maintain your weight. Amazing, but true. Concerning exercise: You should use a combination of weight-training with cardio. Cardio should be the last phase of your workout not the first, you will burn-off more fat that way. I would be more that happy to answer any more questions you may have. Have a great day. There are a lot of conflicting bits of information out there concering weight-loss techniques. Much are very harmful to the body ie. protein diets, where very little carbs is used. This may work initially in losing weight, but it back-fires. Your body needs carbs. It is the fuel that runs your body. Try to consume only complex carbs which are found in whole grain foods. I wish you all the best in your endeavors. Uncle O
  14. here we go again. 1 pound of fat = 3500 calories 1 mile walk, run, treadmill whatever = 80 to 100 calories burned 2 months = 60 days. Using the most optimistic 100 calories per mile, you need to walk or run a bit over 23 miles a day to do it. Oh by the way, you also need to keep your calorie intake the same. Realistically, you won't last more than 2 or 3 days without eating more or doing less. Scale back the unrealistic expectations to a pound or two a week, eat a balanced, calorie restricted diet, and go for at least an hour a day of vigorous, aerobic exercise. Walking, running, cycling, swimming, whatever you can handle in your present condition.
