What is the fastest and healthiest way to lose weight? my goal is to lose 40 pounds over the summer?
Iv gained like 30 pounds over the year and I want to lose all of it during the summer!

- me and my friend are on a diet. we are taking trimspa and going to the gym 4 times a week and were learning to be disgusted by junk foods like mayo, bacon and chocolate. if you reduce your calories and burn more than you take in you should lose it in no time
- The search questions feature here is wonderful...this question is asked here MANY times a day. Eat a healthy well balanced diet, and exercise. That is the key to losing weight and keeping it off.
- Weight Watchers is a really good program. You see your progress each week and basically you can eat whatever the hell you want, but smaller portions.
- First cut out all junk food, chips, cookies, fast food etc. They get some type of work out routine. Jogging, weight lifting. Eat normal but don't overeat. Cutting out just junk food will work plus don't drink pop. Water water and more water.

- Keep moving. Any exercise program is good. The more muscle you have, the more calories you burn. Realistically people are limited in the amount of time they can train at the gym either to pump iron or do cardio. Where ever you are, don't let your self sit. Get a pedometer. Focus on how many steps you walk each day, and gradually try to increase. Incorporate some jogging into your walking program when you have gained enough strength and endurance. Watch your diet and calories especially unhealthy foods rich in calories, trans fat, low density cholesterol (the bad kind), and high amounts of sugar. Keep moving. When your not walking or jogging, do arm exercises. When sitting, do leg raises. Press your arms and hands above your head in sets of 100. Join a gym and try to go every other day, or if you go more often, alternate between strength training and cardio. Give yourself time to recover from gym workouts and just walk, or bike. Bodies in motion tend to stay in motion. Bodies sitting in front of the computer tend to sit in front of the computer.
- 1. dont bank on the words 'fast' & 'quick'....to stay safe,you shoudnt lose beyond 3 pounds of fat per week 2. start brisk walking 60-90mins a day 3. drink only water,100% natural/fresh fruit/veggie juices,lowfat milk and lots of green tea 4. severely limit carbs n fat but eat lean proteins and veggies very well..make sure you eat a good breakfast! 5. do lots of pilates/yoga/strength training to get the best from your other efforts 6. get a dog or 2 if you find your walking routine boring..or if you are at a gym,experiment all forms of cardio available and stick to all that you like 7. always push yourself n never give up!but get enough rest too... 8. be smart when eating out or at events/functions 9. dont trust myths like "no food after 7pm"...you have to stay nourished to lose fat,..the best you can do if you are scared to eat is perhaps drink a glass of ice chocolate lowfat milk mixed with a tsp of instant softened oatmeal... 10.
