Lose pounds and inches

If i lose 40 pounds, will I no longer be overweight?

I am 5'4" and 188 pounds. If i were to lose 40 pounds, would I still be considered overweight? I already lost 11 pounds, give me some time and I will lose the 40 pounds.

  1. I don't know...you can look up a weight chart on google just as easy as I can.
  2. idk the actual definition of overweight...i think alot of ppl go by the looks of it. but how the hell are you going to lose 40 lbs?
  3. if u lose 40 pounds u will be in a healthy weight range..so no u will not be overweight
  4. um..i dont want to sound mean in any way..because i know how bad it feels..but i would say that you would improve on being fit..but in order to not be over weight i would think yjou would have to be about 130 or 135.. sorry if i was mean
  5. Sorry to answer a question with a question, but the real question is will you FEEL you're overweight if you weighed 148 pounds. Your weight does not define you as a person. If you allow your weight to define you, you will always be over or under weight. You are fine at 188.
  6. You would just barely be considered overweight. To be considered normal you would have to be within 108-145lbs. I'd aim for around 135 or 140 for a very healthy weight for my final goal. So to answer the question, you would be much healthier if you lose 40 lbs, but still considered overweight. Body mass Index calculators will help you also determine what you are considered Hope this helps :)
