How can my sister in law lose 40 pounds in 2 months?
My sister in law was told by her doctor that she must lose 40 pounds in 2 months because her blood pressure is too high.. She is obese and I want to help her out.... Does anyone have any advice on a diet and exercise regime?

- I don't think a doctor would recommned such a drastic wieght loss so quickly. 40 pounds is a lot! It took me a year to lose 40 pounds through diet and exercise. She can start with a simple walking program. Whatever walking she can do at first and building up each day. Walking will help reduce her blood pressure and she will start to lose weight the more she does it. She can add other exercise later as she gets strength.

- 40 pounds in 2 months would eaqual about 5 pounds a week. That is kinda a lot, but it is possible. What I suggest is that she cut her noraml portions of food in half and double the amounts of fruits and vegetables she eats. For example, if she eats a sandwich, a bag of chips, and an apple for lunch, then now she should eat half a sandwich, half a bag of chips, and an apple and orange. This way, she can become half her size. Also, if she already doesn't, she should incorporate a minimumof 30 minutes of exercise a day. Even if it's just taking a walk around the block.
- Many people say you can't lose that much weight in that amount of time but I did. I used a weight loss plan that was easy and I didn't have to buy a bunch of special food and I did not exercise as I have a bad back that does not allow me to do a lot of physical activities. I used the plan for 40 days straight and now I use it 2 days a week (Tuesday & Thursday). - A Dr. that would tell someone to lose 40 lbs in 2 months seems irresponsible to me. It is hard on the body to lose weight that fast. But it does tell you that the Dr. is serious. I would consult a nutritionist.
- I THINK SHE HAD BETTER DO SOME EXERCISE LIKE JOGGING AND TAKE SOME MORNING WALK BEFORE5 AM OR 6 AM IN THE MORNING AND EVENING WALK AFTER HAVING SUPPER AND AVOIND DIETING BEACUSE SOME TIME IT HARMS YOUR BODY AND IT IS GOOD ONLY FOR SOEME TYPE OF PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING SOME SPECIAL DIEASES AND ALSO CONTACT SOME DIETICIAN AND DSCUSS HER DILEEMA WITH HIM AND TAKE SOME ADVICE OF THAT DOCTOR I MEAN DIETICIAN AND FOLLOW IT STRICTLY AND LEAVE HER BAD HABBIT OF EATING TIME AND AGAIN BUT IF AS FAR AS EXERCISE IS CONCERSN SHE CAN TAKE A LIGHT EXCERCISE LIKE ROPE JUMPING AND SHE HAD BETTER KEEP HERSELF BUSY IN SOME TYPE OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY WHICH CAN MAKE HER BODY SWEAT SO SHE WILL DEFINITELY BE ABLE TO GET THE RESULT OF HER COVET WITH IN TWO MONTHS .
