Lose pounds and inches

How fast can I lose 20 pounds?

I'm drinking 8 cups of water a day and walking three miles every night. Is it possible to lose 20 pounds in a month and a half? Your opinions + maybe tips?

  1. MAYBE TWO MONTHS...
  2. doubt it and thats super unhealthy anyway...just eat smaller healthier portions..no soda..less junk and fast food...work out as well..keep it up!:)
  3. Definetley, it also depends on what you eat. If your eat calories based on the amount your body needs a day and you exercise like that it will come off pretty fast. A tip would to do it in the morning when your body is looking for an energy source( which would be fat) it will burn quicker, also if maybe you made that walk into a light jog it will burn quicker too.
  4. If you starve for one week straight only drnking water. You can lose 10 pounds. If u starve for 2 week like this u wil lgo to hospital. Why dont u count calores? Eat 500 each day and dont eat after 6 pm. ( basically after eating wait 4 hours until u go to sleep). Worked for many I know. Good luck
  5. Water doesn't make you lose weight. Water instead of soda can help lose weight, though. Walking 3 miles is a long way, but walking doesn't really burn that many calories. Eating two or three biscuits is sure to wipe out any (weight loss) benefit you'd have gotten for all that effort. Healthy weight loss is 1-2lbs a week. So if you really go the hang of losing weight, it'd take about 2.5 months. It's probably going to be more like 4 months, though. Your body needs a certain amount of fuel (food) each day to stay alive and do any exercise/activities that you're involved in. If you eat slightly less than this amount then your body will burn fat to make up the difference. If you eat way less than this amount, you'll go into starvation mode and won't lose anything. Figure out how many calories you need to eat each day to lose weight, how many extra calories you burn through exercise, and how many calories are in the foods you eat. You can do all of that here: http://caloriecount.about.com Good luck!
