Lose pounds and inches

How can i lose 20 pounds to get back to my ideal weight?

I gained about 20-25 pounds since i got married last year and now I have cut out 90% of my alcohol intake, started doing 45 min cardio 3 days a week, and cut out all fast food and junk. I eat a healthy 3 meals a day with some fruit for snacks. Its been a month and I have only lost about 2 pounds.... What else can I do? I weigh about 135 now and am a petite 5'3, the 20-25 pounds have all gone to my thighs and tummy. (i cant fit into anything at all anymore) is there a certain cardio or diet that burns calories faster?

  1. sew up your mouth?
  2. Are you actually counting your calories and calculating how many you burn each day through exercise? To lose weight you must burn more calories than you consume. 3,500 calories equals one pound so to lose a pound a week you should burn 500 more calories a day than you consume. If it still isnt working, I'd see a nurtrionist or something.
  3. Try the diet I have been doing.I lost 31 lbs. in 2.5 months and still losing.contact me with any questions.
  4. Get on yer bike, or take to the road. That'l do the trick!!
  5. Wait it out? Weight loss is slow to start, but it will pick up. Don't expect miracles right away though...it won't happen. Just keep up the good work and you'll get the results you are looking for. Oh! I've also heard that eating 5 or 6 SMALL meals a day helps speed up the process because it boosts your metabolism. I hope that helps, and good luck!!
  6. dont rush it .cycling will inprove cardiovascula muscles.swimming will help lower body strength.circuit training slow at first then add a bit more you will feel better and burn off caloris.its not a race.
  7. Here's NOT what to do. DONT completely stop eating all junk food - if you do this you'll just gain weight again once you go back to your original diet. DONT go anorexic on me!!! DONT be negative about it!!! i think you should go for a nice long walk with your husband. Don't just think about how much weight you're losing, just enjoy yourself. Pick a sunny day to go (unless you're in England lol) and have a good time with your husband. Hope it helps :D Good luck, you're beautiful no matter what xxx
  8. Get the Gillian McKeith book....You Are What You Eat, its fab! Start your day off by drinking warm water with a squeeze of Lemon......Its gets your metabolism going (which is the key) Your on the right tracks though with the Exercise & Healthy Eating.....Just give it time, It will come off...... Try not to eat Carbs after about 6 (Carbs are a bugger for piling on the weight) But dont cut them out completley (like the atkins) because its impossible!! Try Water Aerobics, its Fun, a good workout & good for your joints!! Good Luck PS. try the supplement 5HTP...... you can get it from Holland & Barrett, Its a Natural appetite suppressant.....
  9. Cut down your portion size slightly and drink lots of water. But contentment is supposed to put on weight so maybe you should just stay happy.
  10. I have a personal trainer who advises me on my diet. So far, he's right. Cut out ALL alcohol for a few months, as they are wasted calories. You don't need to be teetotal forever! Exercise every day for 30 minutes. It doesn't have to be major cardio. Any regular movement that is fun works. I use hand weights and a gymball in front of the TV when I feel lazy. Reduce the amount of carbohydrates that you eat and increase protein. Also use a smaller plate when you eat. It's a psychological trick but makes you feel as if you're eating more. Don't forget that muscle weighs more than fat, so be careful when you exercise. You need to burn calories, not build too much muscle.
  11. Join weight watchers. I did on the 21st March weighed in at 13st 7lbs and on the 27th July I hit my goal weight of 9st 5lbs. I followed their core diet which consists of:- Lean meats, fish, vegetables, fresh fruit, brown rice, pasta, low fat dairy products, non sugary cereals. I also joined a gym and did 50 mins of cardio 4 times a week. Give it a go, it worked for me.
