What is a way to lose 20 pounds in 2 weeks?
How can I lose 15-20 pounds in 2 weeks before i go on our cruise to Mexico? I'm am 15 years old.

- That's quite a lot of weight to lose in a short time. Break down your meals to 5 small meals a day, make 2 - 3 of these meals all fruit. Try and do some brisk walking every day for about 20mins. Cut out cakes, biscuits, chocolate and alcohol. Avoid wheat if possible and cut down on red meats, stick to chicken and fish. This should be enough if you stick to 100% to lose at least 10 pounds, also read article below as well. Good luck
- Cut your arm or leg off? Sorry, it's not going to happen. Are you aware that one pound of fat equals 3500 calories? That's a lot of calories to lose in 2 weeks if you want to lose 20 pounds. If it does happen, it means you either just lost a lot of water and you're going to gain it all back, and possibly even get fatter than you were before.

- I think it would be unsafe and unwise to even attempt this. Why wait until two weeks before your cruise to go on a diet? You should have allowed yourself more time. Eat sensibly, make sure you exercise and aim to lose a steady 2lbs a week.
- Not going to happen. Trying via starvation and bizarre over the counter concoctions will most likely have you sick and miserable. Great idea. Spend a lot of money on a nice vacation, and be unable to enjoy it.
- That is way too much weight to loose in 2 weeks. Try something like 5 pounds. You can do this by trying to eat healthily and exercising. Do NOT just stop eating. You will just make yourself miserable.

- No, there is no healthy way to do that. Set yourself a more reasonable goal - like maybe 2 pounds per week. If you set a reachable goal, then reach it, you will feel good about yourself and it will give you the momentum to continue getting in shape. If you set an unreachable goal, you set yourself up for feeling bad about yourself. Not fun. So try to lose 4 or 5 pounds before the cruise, and then continue eating healthy and exercising DURING the cruise and after you get back. But cheat a little while you're on vacation...
