Lose pounds and inches

How do you lose 10 pounds off your stomach, and how long will it take???

I am 5'4 and weight 125 p's how long do you think it will take for me too lose 10-20 pounds.

  1. Healthy weight loss is 1 to 2 lbs per week. At your height and weight, 20lb weightloss seems pretty extreme.
  2. Well, I'm 5'5 and i weighed about the same. Crunches never really worked for me, so i was starting to lose hope until someone told me it's because I don't do cardio. Cardio burns extra fat the fastest, so I started running everyday for 15 minutes on the treadmill or i jumped rope for 5 minutes every other day. In a week I saw a huge difference in my stomach and hip areas.

Do sit-ups Walk outdoors every day--increase length of walk weekly Don't drink soda Don't put mayonnaise on anything Don't eat fried anything Don't eat sausage, hot dogs, pepperoni, bacon, etc. Don't OVER-eat bread/pasta/rice Don't OVER-eat your broiled chicken, or other meat Don't eat fast foods (except a salad or baked potato) Don't eat chocolate Don't eat sugary cereals or snacks My son lost a lot of weight just from eliminating SOME of the above--and by starting outdoor walking every day. You could also watch the early morning exercise shows (usually around 6AM on PBS or some other educational channel). You could take out books on Beginner's Yoga and Beginner's Aerobics from the library.
  4. You can't lose ten pounds just off of your stomach; you lose it everywhere. If your stomach is your "problem area", it will probably be the last place where you see any improvement. As for how long it will take, it depends on how many calories you eat per day and if you're exercising. Find out what your BMR is and eat 500 calories per day less than that, and exercise for about 30 minutes every day doing some form of cardio. I bet you'd loose about 2-3 pounds a week doing that!
