Lose pounds and inches

How can I lose 5 pounds in a month?

I have an upcoming event and I need to lose 5 pounds. I need to lose it mostly on my stomache. How can I lose those many pounds and are there any special foods that can make my stomache smaller?

  1. 5 pounds in a month is a piece of cake. Walk or jog for 30 minutes every day, cut out McDonald's and you got it! Try running up and down stairs to tone your butt and thighs, situps for your stomaches and back, pushups for arms, jogging for overall healthiness, lunges and squats for thighs again, and bycycling for those calf muscles. If you're dieting, eat less carbs then what you burn, and you will lose weight!
  2. Eat healthy food and work out...it is that simple. If you want to tone your stomach, do crunches.
  3. um just walk, hell it's easy to lose 5 pounds in a week...
  4. yes you can lose 5 lbs in a month, but you have to be very serious. The best thing for reducing a waistline is do not eat any bread, grains, corn, corn syrup, rice, oats, barley, sugar, candy or diet drinks
  5. If you haven't been active before, your body doesn’t have much muscle. That means has more fat then muscle, and even though you are probably thin, you still have the extra tummy fat. If you want a good, long-lasting change, you have to add muscle, which means exercise. Start by walking, running, or biking (which is usually cheap, too!). Work up to 4-5 times a week for 30 minutes. If working up to that level doesn’t change your body (or if you are already exercising that much) you have to be more careful of what you eat. You should also keep a food diary. When you start, don't worry about counting fat or calories, just notice what you are eating. But start learning which foods are best and worst. Just seeing it written down can be a surprise - you don't always remember those candy bars, pastries, or soda until you see it on your tummy. Watching what you eat helps you stay focused and eat healthier. 5 pounds is very realistic of a goal. But having a healthy body will have you feeling and looking much better!
  6. Look, try eating right and exercising BEFORE things like this come up, girlfriend! You know after the event you'll get lazy again and all the sit-ups in the world that you do before the event will cease after. Read books on healthy ways to maintain your ideal weight and WALK 3 days a week for at least 30 minutes each of those days or jump rope 30 minutes a day and you don't even have to jump 30mins straight, just a total of 30 minutes. So, that means you can jump 3 minutes when you first get up and 3 minutes more etc. thru out the day. You'll lose MORE than 5lbs and you can keep it off.
  7. If you want to do it by diet alone then there is a simple solution... cut out carbs after 4pm and eat only protein. As far as foods for your stomach, there is nothing that specifically targets the abdominal area. ab work will help, especially after a month of doing it every other day.
