Lose pounds and inches

what are good excersises to do to lose inches around the waist?

i'm trying to lose a few inches around my waist. I'm doing the dieting thing and excersising but it doesn't seem to affect my waist at all. Any suggestions?

  3. The waist is one of the last places where you'll lose. For whatever reason, it's where the body likes to store fat. Keep up the exercise and it'll come. Sit-ups, crunches, leg lifts, etc. all target that area but they won't make a huge difference on their own. Simply put, you have to lose the fat before you can see what's underneath.
  4. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as spot reducing. You have to eat less, exercise more and then, you will begin to shed the extra weight all over. However, you may be the body type that gains weight in the waistline first and the last place to loose it. For me, it's the thighs. Don't be discouraged if you are exercising and you don't seem to be dropping pounds as quickly as you would like. Adding muscle, which is denser than fat, makes it seem as though you are not making as much progress. But if you stick with it, you will feel better and the pounds will come off. My thighs will never be as thin as I want them to, but I've come to except that. And please, don't judge yourself by pictures in the magazines and celebrities who use starvation, drugs, surgery, etc. to get that thin look. Good luck!
