What happens in your body when you lose inches (versus pounds)?
I understand the concept of weight loss, but what is actually happening in your body when your clothes fit better but you weigh the same?

- exchanging fat for muscle tissue. Muscle is denser, takes up less space.
- Fat tissue is being replaced with muscle tissue which is more dense. That's one reason why you can judge how well you're doing by just the scale. A pound of fat and a pound of muscle weight the same, but the muscle takes up a lot less room. Count the inches and use a body fat measuring device.
- congrats,,,,you now have muscle instead of fat.....you are getting toned which is better than losing a pound
- Yes. You may have lost fats but gained muscle.
