How do I lose 15 pounds in 5 days?
I desperately need to lose 15 pounds for a New Years Eve Party and I am looking for answers. I prefer healthy diets so please help if you can, thanks.

- On a healthy diet, one is supposed to be able to lose 1-2 pounds a week. Therefore, you can't lose 15 pounds in 5 days. That's 3 pounds a day, which is losing/burning roughly 10,000 calories a day, which is impossible. I don't condone "easy" weight loss, but since it's only short term I'll give you some advice. For the next few days just drink a ton of water and eat roughly 1000 calories, mostly in fruits, vegetables, and protein. Drink water in between and during meals. Eat breads with fiber. Eat AT LEAST 3 meals a day. If you don't, you'll just be extremely hungry and end up binging. Exercise for at least an hour, with at least a half hour being cardio. The gym is the best place for this, if you can get there. I recommend the elliptical. Keep in mind the weight you lose within the next few days, you'll gain right back once you start eating normally. If you want to be healthier and keep the weight off, eat at least 1600 calories a day with your diet consisting of 60% carbohydrates, 30% fat, 10% protein and exercise the same as I recommended. Trust me, it's well worth it being healthy all the time rather than crash dieting every few months.

- When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

- The best weight loss goal is 2-3 pounds a day. You are pushing it a bit to reach that goal but don't worry. Get at least 45 minutes of exercise a day. Walking is good. Change your diet. More fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. Stay away from fast food and processed food. Read the labels of the food you prepare. Avoid salt, sugar, and trans fats. Also be sure to note the number of servings per package. Reading labels can be confusing. If it says 2 servings per package use 1/2 package. Good luck
