Lose pounds and inches

How can a teen lose 10 pounds in 1 week?

I am thirteen and weigh 120 pounds. According to my B.M.I., I am not overweight but I have a small frame and do not carry weight well at all. How can I lose 10 pounds in 1 week? Or at least look thinner in 1 week? Do you have any experiences to share?

  1. You can't lose ten pounds in one week and expect to keep the weight off. Just eat less and exercise a bit. You'll be fine.

  4. for one thing what ever they feed you in school dont eat it i would suggest eating salads the whole week and drink nothing but water and youll drop twenty pounds

  7. You cant really lose that much weight in 1 week. The most you can lose is 2-3 pounds. But, if you do wanna lose weight. Its simple. You exercise. And chew your food more slowly. Don't starve yourself. No soda, no junk food. Annd you'll look better in about a month I guess. Good luck. ( :

  9. you can't lose ten pound in one week. unless you don't eat anything... even then you might not lose ten pounds.. so don't do it. if you want to lose weight, exercise and eat healthy.

OMG NOOO.;.. dont worry about losing weight...what do u want to look like a stick? ...gilrs who have a little meat on their bones is hot..and ur too young to worry..when i was 13 i was kind of chubby and then i grew up a little more..but if it bothers you alot..just work out a little..and eat less junk. =D but u sound like u look fine...no worries babehh=D
  11. AHH don't lose 10 lbs in a week, thats sooooooooo unhealthy!....the best way to do it is to try and lose like 2 lbs a week. What I did to lose some weight is just eat smaller amounts of food about 6 to 7 times a day, and stop eating as soon as I feel content(not even full just content).....and trying eating healthy, lots of fruits, veggies, and whole grain. also, exercise, don't go overboard but just even 3 times a week for 30 min, and it can be just walking. Also, drink alot of water, at first u may gain a lb or two, but eventually it will keep u fuller and help you to eat less and lose weight. However, if you are 13 you are probably stil growing and ur body might need that extra weight for you to grow so I wouldn't worry to much about it just yet. Also, if you try and lose that much weight at one time you won't keep it off and if you eat less your metabolism will slow down so you will actaully gain weight more easily! So even if it takes 3 or 4 weeks to lose what you want it will be more worht it b/c you will be able to keep it off easier

  13. you can exercise about 1 hour a day for the full week monday thru sunday, cut back on your calorie intake say only consume 1000 calories a day and burn about 900, drink lots and lots of water and fruits and vegetables skip on the meats for this week and any dairy products. its kinda of a fast IT IS NOT HEALTHY BUT IT WORKS you might lose about 8 pounds instead of 10 but you will feel it. for breakfast do one egg with one half of whole wheat bread, 2 hours later lots and lots of water with about 1oz of strawberry, for lunch do a salad not dressing and for dinner some fish not fried but baked and fruit and more water. make sure to exercise for the full week for at no less then 1 hour a day with a goal of 900 calories. say 600 cal on the elliptical and 300 cal on the treadmill. hope it works out.
  14. I have tons of experience and advice. #1 don't do it. If you are too thin you will mess up your hormones and could end up with brittle bones. Do you want to be a hunch back old lady just to be a stick in middle school. The best thing to do is exercise 60 minutes a day take a walk do palates and/or good old fashion military calisthenics. ALSO EAT...but eat healthy. That means eat food in their most natural state possible. You can not tell you BMI accurately at your age with height and weight. Ask your parents or gym coach if they can do a pinch test on you to get an accurate reading. Get your mom involved in your quest for health and fitness...my guess is she could use it or give you support. If she is not into it talk to your gym coach or favorite fit female relative.
  15. Umm... I'm your age, and weigh 127. And I am a normal weight, not fat. My stomach is smooth and flat. You might have a lot of muscle and are athletic, like me. You don't need to loose any weight at all.
  16. Well cutting back on your eating should certainly help you loose that weight. it sounds to me like you don't need to loose any major weight, just shed a few pounds. Try to drink a ton of water, and hot tea helps too. Try to eat small portions, not many snacks(unless it's fruit) and try to eat a minimum amount of carbs. If you follow this, it should certainly help you loose weight!!!!
  17. It's almost impossible. You better take a longterm plan to lose weight. Long term plan will do no harm to you. You can do lypo surgery to lose 10 to 30 pounds within a week. But it may do some harm to a teen.
