Lose pounds and inches

How do I lose inches? I have been working really hard at the gym and have lost pounds but not inches. Why?

I want to know how to fix this problem. I am like 15 pounds overweight and have been running in the morning until recently, I haven't been able to reach 30minutes. And most days I go to the gym and do weights and 30 more minutes of cardio. I don't know what's going on, unless the fat is leaving from a random. Thanks for your help.

  1. u must be eating bread and somtimes its just mucel
  2. when your working out you are using your muscles and building them up thats why you're not losing inches but you are burning off fat. to lose weight and not gain muscle you should do running, fast walking or bicycle exercise
  3. it depends r u really fat
  4. the only thing I can think of is that you are gaining muscle mass...even though muscle ways more than fat so that doesn't make too much sense. I don't know how long you've been working out, but it does take a while before you get visually noticeable results. If it is the muscle gain issue, you should do cardio like running or the elliptical(best thing in my opinion) cardio builds lean muscle and burns fat. Also doing Pilate's instead of weights is a good idea
  5. What is your current workout schedule? More than likely you are concentrating on the weights much more than cardio. Try adding cardio in first thing in the morning on an empty stomach (water only). Look into high intensity interval training for your cardio. Also, check your diet as this is 75% of your battle when trying to drop body fat. Make sure that you are drinking plenty of water per day. If you aren't in the bathroom at least once every 90 minutes, you aren't drinking enough. Lastly, if you really want to see what is going on, get a caliper pinch test performed by a personal trainer and have it repeated about once every 4 weeks by the same person. This will tell you how much body fat you are losing. Good luck!!
