Is it possible to lose inches from waist without losing pounds? I have been on the Visalus shakes (meal replacement) for 3 weeks and have only lost 1 pound! I am having two shakes a day, one in the morning, one in afternoon, and a small dinner. Is it possible to lose some from my waist and not in pounds? Losing inches but not pounds. Need to lose actual pounds to make weight. Help? I started working out on the 12th of last month. I didn't want to get depressed looking at numbers, so I decided I would weigh and measure myself on the 12th of each month. Today's the day- I lost 9 inches, but lost less than 1 pound. While I feel good about the inches, it is still disappointing to see that I have lost .75 of a pound-basically nothing. I have been eating healthier as well, and really expected to see some pounds dropped- not 10 or anything, but maybe 4. I realize that I have probably lost fat and gained muscle. But am I going to get to a point to where I lose actual pounds? I need to lose 10 lbs within the next few months, as I have to pass a physical. I just don't know what to do next. I am going to continue my workout routine, and tough it up a bit. And continue to eat better. Will I see results? I am slightly discouraged and need some encouragement that I will continue to lose inches and also lose pounds. Thanks for any help.
What can I do to lose inches in my waist and thighs, but not my breasts? I'm 5'3" and 136lbs. I wear a sz 8 in pants. So i'm not too concerned with losing pounds, just a few inches. How did I lose inches and not pounds without working out? I gained 50 lbs during my pregnancy, weighing in at 196 just before giving birth in May. I now weigh 185, which means I've only lost 11 lbs. but my daughter was 7lbs 5oz, plus the placenta, etc. I am about an inch away from my old jean size (size 5-6) and I haven't worked out at all, so how come I've lost so many inches with virtually no weight loss? I am not breastfeeding, tried but she wouldn't do it. I didn't work out at all while pregnant and I haven't worked out since. I honestly don't eat right, and haven't had the energy to work out. Lose inches and pounds in 50 days? I'd like to lose some weight, because i usually eat in a very healthy way but lately i guess (in a rewarding manner to myself, maybe? i can't believe my twisted mind actually thought that) i let myself indulge too much.. and therefore gained about 12 pounds in a month! I would like to lose 10 pounds and 2 inches in five weeks. Is that unreasonable or dangerous? I am currently 5'10", weight 235 lbs and have a 40" (give or take) waist. Losing inches, not pounds? Ever since I had 2 weeks break from dance over the summer I gained 10 pounds, but now that it has started up again all my jeans are too big. When I step on the scale though I weigh the same (112) as I did right after the 2 weeks of no dancing. Why have I lost inches but not pounds?By the way it's not because of muscle because I have the same strength as I ever had.
